Our goal is to change the practices and attitudes of local communities, decision makers and  those who are responsible for the conservation and rational use of water resources.

If you are between 15 and 20 years, you want to know more about the ecological situation ofIalpug river,  if you want an unique experience in ecological style and to spend good the time, to learn aspects of environmental law, see various problems faced by a river, to meet and talk about this with environmental inspectors, mayors, journalists, environmental activists and in return to become a future leader, apply now for the ecological expedition on Ialpug river!

National Environmental Center will select 25 youngsters to go on expedition, which will take place from 21 to 23 July 2015 along Ialpug river. For three days, the expedition participants will attend a series of theoretical and practical trainingson subjects as: surface water protection issues of environmental legislation,right to a healthy environment, documentation of pollution cases and other issues aimed at developing effective leadership skills. The expedition will be mobile, with accommodation in tents and daily moving by bus to different places in the northern Moldova, where participants will have the opportunity see sources of pollution, interact with decision makers and population from different localities which are crossed by the river looking for solutions to rehabilitateIalpug river.

Ialpug River is a tributary of Prut River, which has 75 length and crosses the following villages:  Comrat town, Bugeac village,  Chirsovo village,  Congaz village,  Svetlii village,  Besalma village (UTAG),  Balaban village,  Vinogradovca village,  Novoseolovca village, Aluatu village  (Taraclia district),  Hirtop village,  Cenac village,  Javgur village ( Cimislia district).

All costs for organizing and carrying out the expedition are covered by the organizers.

All interested candidates are welcomed to apply, but priority will be given to those from the basin of Ialpug river.  Selected candidates will be contacted personally by the organizers.
